Why My Mama Rocks.
10 July 2012
I’ll be heading up to Burning Ham soon for some on-the-job training. Even though The Doobies are old enough to handle themselves, I gave my parents a 10-page leave-behind on how to take care of my pride and joy and where to take them for ice cream.
Acknowledging my insanity, I sent my parents the following email with a flippin’ attachment…

Hi! Here’s everything for the next few days. Enjoy!
I will print out a copy and have it here, too. Their clothes will be laid out in their rooms and marked by what they should wear each day. Otherwise, Madan will probably wear a snowsuit for tennis lessons. If you could make sure they WEAR AT LEAST ONE PAIR OF CLEAN UNDERWEAR DAILY, that would be greatly appreciated. Tell Kaila NOT to wear underwear OVER her bathing suit even though her mom says she’s “Special.”
Mom–I also should have enough food for them. Here’s some stuff they like. Madan has a big appetite these days and can eat as much as me. So, if he’s ever grumpy, just give him some food. It usually means he’s hungry.

I finished the email with a “thank you!” and some ideas for their meals. I should have known better. My Mom’s reply…
Hi,
Don’t worry about clean underwear or anything else. We will make sure they wear clean clothes and eat good food. You go and enjoy your training !!!!!!!!!Sent from my iPad

How cool is it that she sent it from her iPad?
Nani and Nana ROCK! LOVE YOU GUYS!!! XOXOXOXOXOXOXOX
We talked my parents into getting an iPad at the end of last year. they reluctantly did. Now they hardly ever touch their computer. I laugh every time I see that “sent from my iPad” line in their emails.
Good luck with training!
My Mom is addicted to the talking animals app.
